The fifth destination in Jambi is the oldest Geopark in the Kabupaten Merangin, Tujuh Lake and  Kerinci Volcano  are located in the Kabupaten Kerinci, Muaro Jambi Temple  at kabupaten Muaro Jambi and Batanghari River. It is the longest river on the island of Sumatra.

While the Temple of Muaro Jambi has an area up to 17.5 km, with a total number of temples reach 110 pieces. This temple is thought to have been constructed since the 4th century until the 11th century AD. The building of this temple functions as the center of the development of Buddhism in the time of old Malay.

Geopark in Jambi have been recorded in the area of National Geopark. The local government is currently waiting for the process to be recorded in the GGN network (Global Geopark Network) at UNESCO. If the Geopark at Merangi is already entered in the GGN network with recognition from UNESCO, the Government is very optimistic, it will be a growing number of tourists who visit it.
